My Fitness Journey- Hometown Hurdles and Hitting Reset: Back on Track!

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since my last post! The past 15 days have been a whirlwind of activity in my home town.  While I haven't been able to maintain my usual blogging schedule, rest assured, my fitness journey hasn't stopped!

Unexpected Challenges:

Being back home presented some unique challenges:

  • Body Composition Shift:  Tracking my body composition revealed a 4% increase in body fat since arriving. This highlights the importance of consistency in diet and exercise to maintain progress.

  • Workout Inefficiency: Limited equipment at home made it difficult to replicate my usual gym workouts.

  • Disrupted Routine: Extra workload, including construction projects I need to oversee, has impacted my usual meal schedule and daily routine.

Restarting the Engine:

Despite these setbacks, I'm determined to get back on track!

  • Renewed Commitment:  Starting this weekend, I'm recommitting to my fitness plan.

  • Dual-Focus Workouts:  To maximize calorie burning with less equipment, I'm currently focusing on dual-body part workouts, targeting two muscle groups per session.

  • Adapting Meals: Increased workload means slightly less time for meal prep.  I'm adjusting my diet to be slightly smaller and more flexible while still prioritizing healthy options.

Working with Limitations:

Limited equipment and fatigue from my daily responsibilities haven't stopped me from training. Here's a glimpse into my recent workouts:

  • Back & Biceps: Today, I tackled my back and bicep muscles.

  • Shoulders & Triceps: The day before, I focused on shoulders and triceps.

Transparency and Encouragement:

I share these challenges not to discourage but to emphasize the importance of adaptability in fitness journeys. Life throws curveballs, and it's about picking yourself up and recommitting to your goals.
