Life Update: Unexpected Schedule Changes and Adapting My Routine

Hey everyone,

I'm writing to address a slight gap in my blog posts. Since my last update on May 23rd, some unexpected changes in my schedule have come up.

A Sudden Shift:

Important work commitments arose, requiring me to visit my hometown for an extended period.  Currently, I've been back in my hometown for the past seven days, and it might last another ten days.

Adapting to the Heat:

With summer temperatures soaring past 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit), it's become quite uncomfortable to maintain my usual routine. Here's how I'm adapting:

  • Hydration First: High temperatures require increased hydration.  I've upped my water intake to 5-7 liters per day to ensure proper hydration for my body.

  • Fueling for Function: My meal plan has also undergone some adjustments. I've included more carbohydrates to provide readily available energy for my workouts and daily activities during the summer heat.

  • Electrolyte Power: Electrolytes are essential for maintaining proper body functions.  I've incorporated foods and beverages rich in electrolytes to help regulate my body temperature and muscle function, especially during workouts.

Limited Equipment, Continued Training:

Unfortunately, my hometown gym doesn't offer the same equipment I have access to usually. However, the show must go on!  I'm being creative and using alternative exercises or bodyweight movements to maintain a consistent workout routine.

Increased Meal Frequency:

To better suit my current activity level and adjust for the hot weather, I've increased my meal frequency to five meals per day.  This ensures I'm providing my body with the necessary energy and nutrients throughout the day.
